About ADHD Time Blindness: ETA Coach
If "five more minutes" always turns into forty, if deadlines stay invisible until they're right on top of you, if you're late no matter how hard you try — take a breath. You're not careless and you're not broken. Your brain simply experiences time differently, and ETA is the supportive teammate built for exactly that.
Here's the good news: you don't have to white-knuckle another morning. ETA does the hard part for you. You set the one thing that matters — the time you need to arrive — and ETA gently maps your whole routine backwards from it. Every task gets a start time. Every step gets a friendly nudge. A little protective buffer is added for you, because guessing how long things take is the very thing time blindness makes hard. Then a bright countdown and warm, escalating cues walk you calmly out the door — right on time.
WHY IT WORKS — THE LATEST SCIENCE
Time blindness — the trouble with feeling time pass — is now understood as a core part of ADHD, not a personal failing. US researcher Russell Barkley describes ADHD as a "nearsightedness to the future": what isn't right in front of you is hard to act on. This isn't about effort — it's simply how the brain's internal clock is wired.
And the newest research is genuinely hopeful. A 2026 randomized controlled trial from Syracuse University and the University of Richmond, in the Journal of Attention Disorders, tested a digital tool for adults with ADHD — part of fast-growing evidence that well-designed apps really can help close the gap time blindness creates.
ETA puts that science to work, gently:
• Time you can see beats willpower. Your countdown is big, bright, and easy to follow — no internal clock required.
• Decide once, follow through all day. Research by NYU's Peter Gollwitzer shows simple "if-then" plans dramatically boost follow-through. ETA turns your goal into a calm chain of "at 7:42, start this" — so you never have to decide in the moment.
• No more guessing. Because estimating time is exactly what's hard, ETA estimates for you and quietly adds breathing room — no pressure, no math.
You don't have to try harder. ETA simply hands you the support your brain wasn't getting on its own.

User reviews
Love so far. Adult with adhd and severe time-management issues. This is fun to interact with and engaging to use. Would love the option to delete past events - I made one as a test and am not able to get rid of the record of it, so my stats are skewed. Overall great product!
I've been using it on mornings for my job, it's been great. Thank ya!
