About Sawti: Arabic Voice Keyboard

You talk, Sawti writes.

Sawti is an Arabic voice typing keyboard that works in any app: WhatsApp, messages, email and notes.

Speak in your own dialect or in Modern Standard Arabic, and Sawti turns your Arabic speech to text, with correct spelling and punctuation. An easy way to do Arabic voice to text and Arabic dictation on your phone, and it can also translate what you said into English.

Typing Arabic on a phone is slow, and a voice note is not always the right answer. With Sawti you just say it, the way you would say it to a friend, in your own dialect, and the text is written for you: punctuated, without the stumbles and filler words, ready to send.

For everything you write every day: a long WhatsApp message, a reply to a customer, a post on Instagram or X, a comment, an email, your notes, a page of your diary.

A keyboard that types with your voice

Once you switch on the Sawti keyboard in your phone's settings, the microphone is there in every app: WhatsApp, email, notes, the browser, any text field. Tap the mic, talk, tap again, and the text appears where you were typing. No copying, no pasting, no switching apps.

Choose how it comes out

• Literal Dictation: your words in your dialect, exactly as you said them. Filler words removed, spelling and punctuation fixed, and your dialect left as it is.
• Smart: speak in your dialect and get proper Modern Standard Arabic, without worrying about spelling or grammar.
• And when you need English: Casual English, Formal English and Vibe Code turn what you said in Arabic into clear English.

Free for a month

Start with a free month from your first dictation, with no card needed. The free month includes up to five hours of speaking (fair use). After that you choose a plan or stop, and nothing is ever charged on its own.

Privacy

Your voice is sent once to be turned into text, then discarded. We do not keep recordings. No ads, no trackers, and no sharing of your data with any advertiser. Your text history and personal dictionary stay on your phone.

The app needs microphone permission to record, and an internet connection to turn speech into text.

Sawti is also available on Windows, Mac and iPhone, with the same account.

What’s new

Version 2.2.10 · Updated October 28, 2026

A new look for the Sawti keyboard: frosted glass keys, a blue drop that shows the app's name, and live sound bars while you record. The English modes are labelled Normal, Formal and Vibe Coding, and the keys are now laid out right to left.
