SafeKida is a comprehensive parental control and child safety application designed exclusively for parents and guardians to protect their children online, promote healthy digital habits, and ensure family safety.

SafeKida allows parents to pair their device with their child's device, set web browsing safety rules, manage screen time, and receive instant emergency alerts.

VPN SERVICE PROMINENT DISCLOSURE:
SafeKida uses Android's VpnService strictly for parental control web content filtering and safe browsing protection on child devices.
• Core Purpose: VpnService creates a local, encrypted DNS tunnel on the child's device to route DNS queries to safe, child-friendly DNS providers (such as Cloudflare Families).
• Feature Functionality: Automatically blocks access to adult websites, explicit content, malware, and phishing domains across all web browsers and apps.
• Privacy & Security: The VpnService operates strictly locally on the device. SafeKida does NOT proxy user web traffic through external VPN servers, nor does it inspect, log, collect, or share personal browsing data through the VPN tunnel.

ACCESSIBILITYSERVICE API PROMINENT DISCLOSURE:
SafeKida uses the Android AccessibilityService API strictly to deliver core parental control features on child devices and parent-handed devices operating in Secure Mode. The AccessibilityService API is used to:
1. Detect foreground app launches to block restricted applications chosen by the parent.
2. Monitor web browser URL addresses to filter adult/inappropriate content and enforce safe search settings.
3. Display PIN overlay screens over device settings to prevent children from bypassing parental controls or uninstalling the app without authorization.
4. Measure active app usage duration to enforce screen time and bedtime limits.

DATA COLLECTION & USAGE DISCLOSURE:
To provide parental control, child monitoring, and emergency safety features, SafeKida collects and processes the following data:
- Device or other identifiers (Device ID, Child Name, Parent Email): Used for account setup, device pairing, and push notification delivery.
- Precise location & Approximate location: Used for live location tracking, safe zone (geofence) entry/exit alerts, and SOS emergency calls.
- App usage activity & Web browsing URLs: Processed locally on the device to enforce app restrictions and web content filtering.

SafeKida processes data securely over encrypted SSL connections solely for parental monitoring. SafeKida does NOT sell user data, use the AccessibilityService API for remote call audio recording, or track user data for advertising purposes.
