Sabeel - The Path

Sabeel is a prayer-times app built to sit on a dedicated screen and just
work, day after day, with no account and no ads.

PRAYER TIMES
Accurate Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Tahajjud times,
computed from your GPS location using standard solar-position astronomy --
the same method family used by most prayer apps. Choose from five
calculation methods (Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian,
Karachi) and Shafi'i or Hanafi Asr, or let the app suggest one based on
where you are. If a calculated time runs a minute or two off from your
local mosque, nudge any individual prayer earlier or later -- the
adjustment shifts the real alarm, not just the display.

ADHAN ALERTS
Reliable, exact alarms for every prayer that survive Doze and device
reboot. Assign any of your own audio files to any prayer independently,
record your own voice, or mute any prayer's adhan without losing what was
assigned to it. The audio can be full Adhans and even dua that follows the Adhan.

QIBLA COMPASS
A live compass bearing to the Kaaba using your device's sensors, with a
sun-based calibration fallback for devices without a magnetometer.

QUR'AN PLAYER
Browse and stream full recitations of all 114 surahs, with play/pause/
skip controls and a shuffle mode for continuous listening. Download any
surah for offline playback.

HIJRI CALENDAR
Today's Islamic date, calculated on-device by default (no internet
needed), with an optional live online check for moon-sighting-based
updates.

HADITH OF THE DAY
One hadith shown per day, with its source and authenticity grade.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no backend server, no ads, no analytics. Everything Sabeel
computes stays on your device. See the privacy policy for exactly what
each permission is used for.

Built for a tablet or phone mounted somewhere as an always-visible
display, but works just as well as a regular app you open when you need
it.
