About Rust & Rev: Drag Tune
Buy a rusty classic from the scrapyard, bolt on parts in the garage, tune the final drive and four gear ratios, then race it down a quarter mile against a rival in the next lane. Each race lasts about 10 to 20 seconds. The cars are invented classics with plain grilles and no badges.
Launch by holding the rev pedal until the needle sits in the green band, then tap GO when the lights turn green. Tap SHIFT at the right rev for each of three upshifts. You can also fire one nitrous shot when you want an extra push down the strip.
The garage is the puzzle. Compare parts by the time each one saves for its price, try different gear ratios, and keep up to three saved tunes for each car. Pay to restore a rusty car, then choose whether to sell it or keep racing it. Cash is earned in races and cannot be bought.
There are 54 races in six tiers, with eight rival races and one boss race in each tier. The six venues are Scrap Strip, Village Road, Airfield, Salt Flat, Harbour Night and Grand Strip. Tier one is open from the start, and beating a tier's boss opens the next one. Test runs are free, on your own, and use no Cash or nitrous refills.
The tutorial walks you through the rev pedal, shifting, nitrous and the tune screen. It never buys or spends anything for you, and you can replay it from Settings.
The game contains ads and offers in-app purchases. A full-screen ad called Pit break can appear only when you leave a race result screen. It never appears before your fourth finished race, never more than once every two finished races, never less than 120 seconds apart, and never during a race or a test run. Remove Ads is a one-time purchase that removes these full-screen ads; rewarded offers remain. Double winnings is an optional rewarded video that doubles the Cash from a race you have won. Dyno tune is an optional rewarded video that applies the gear setup the game's solver finds for one race. Nitro Refill ×10 is a consumable pack that adds ten nitrous refills.
