About Citizens Co-op

Overview
Agriculture is a vital global business, yet in Africa, it’s often linked to poverty. In contrast, agriculture elsewhere thrives, creating wealth at all levels. Dr. Akinwumi Adesina of the African Development Bank highlights that by 2030, Africa’s food and agribusiness sector could reach $1 trillion, making it a lucrative opportunity.

Problem Summary
1. Labor Shortage: Skilled and unskilled laborers are dwindling due to apathy, brain drain, and outdated methods.
2. Funding Gaps: There is a lack of patient, deliberate funding.
3. Weak Systems: Poor government policies, insecurity, and outdated practices hamper progress.

The Solution
1. Incentivized Labor: Offer incentives to make farming attractive to experts and youth.
2. Crowdfunding: Utilize cooperative thrift contributions for patient funding.
3. Strong Management: Implement a bicameral management system led by experienced professionals.

Agribusiness Portfolios
We will invest in scaling individuals and companies in:
1. Crop Production: Food and cash crops.
2. Livestock: Fish, poultry, and ruminants.
3. Retail: Local and global distribution through direct sales and e-commerce.
4. Transportation: Land, air, and sea.
5. Energy: Renewable and non-renewable.
6. Education & Training: Online business school, social media podcasts, and traditional media features.
7. Advocacy: Environmental and civic duty awareness.

Ownership Structure
1. Capitalization: We need 20 million Naira to launch, offering 20-40 investors a chance to contribute for a 2% annual profit share.
2. Investors: Initial contributors of N1,000,000 or N500,000 each will receive a share of 0.1% or 0.05% of the annual profit.
3. Governing Board: A 7-member team will guide the cooperative, earning 2% of the annual profit.
4. Business Management Committee: This executive team, led by the Committee Chairman, will handle operations and earn 6% of the annual profit.
5. Members: Anyone can join by contributing N5,000 to N50,000 monthly, earning interest and a profit share.
6. Associate Members: Students or NYSC members can join with a contribution of N3,000 to N4,000 monthly, earning similar benefits.

Conclusion
By joining forces, we can enhance food security, boost employment, and elevate GDP, contributing more to humanity’s preservation than any other sector. Join Royal Citizens Co-op today—Together for more.
