Rovatrove: Quiet RSS Reader

The good parts of the web are scattered across a hundred places, and following any of them costs you your email address. A newsletter you were curious about. A free trial. An insurance quote. Each one buys a permanent line to your inbox, so you hesitate.

Rovatrove brings them home instead.

EVERYTHING WORTH FOLLOWING, IN ONE PLACE

• A curated catalog of thousands of newsletters, blogs, podcasts and YouTube channels, by category and region.
• Follow what looks good and it lands in one quiet feed, newest first.
• Nothing you follow is ranked, promoted or suggested. No ads.
• Background playback for podcasts and video.
• Receipts, welcome mail and confirmations are filed on their own, so the feed stays reading material.

AND WHEN A SITE WANTS YOUR EMAIL

• Rovatrove hands over an address of its own. One per company, never reused.
• Mail reaches it, so double opt-in signups and verification links work the way they normally do.
• Your real address stays out of the form.
• Changed your mind? Retire the address and that sender loses its way back to you. No unsubscribe links to hunt down.
• If one address starts getting spam, you know exactly which company let it out.
• When a signup wants a password too, Rovatrove can create one and keep it in a vault that is encrypted on your device before it reaches us. We store ciphertext we cannot read, and there is no backdoor.

So you can try things. Follow the ones worth keeping. And none of it follows you back.

PLANS

Free to start. Browse the whole Discover catalog and follow up to 5 feeds.

Paid plans add the per-signup addresses, the encrypted vault, many more sources, and a search that tracks down anything missing from the catalog. Weekly, monthly and yearly options are available, and current pricing is shown in the app.

Subscriptions are billed through Google Play and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time in your Google Play subscription settings.

PRIVACY

We collect the minimum needed to run the service. Your vault is encrypted on your device. The link between your subscriptions and their addresses is encrypted on our servers. We show no ads, and we never sell or rent your data.
