Farmer Faq App clarifies most common doubts being faced by livestock farmers
Farmer FAQ app developed keeping in view of most commonly raised doubts by most of the livestock farmers in the state of Andhra Pradesh. For effective utilisation of app by maximum number of farmers vernacular language of Andhra Pradesh i.e. telugu was chosen. This app contains sequentially arranged questions and answers for different livestock species in various sections. Calf management section involves new born calf care, feeding and health care (29 FAQs). Dairy cattle management section includes selection of suitable cow/buffaloe breed, preventive health care measures, management tips and housing management (75 FAQs). Breeding and reproductive management section carries a total of 28 FAQs. Livestock and disease section include a total of 15 FAQs. Dairy cattle management involves two more sections covering aspects of care during and after surgery (17 FAQs) along with clarification of doubts in zoonotic section. Sheep and Goat management (46 FAQs), Feeding of small ruminants (8 FAQs) , health care (16 FAQs), and Fodder varieties (FAQs19). Rearing of poultry in backyard (37 FAQs), commercial farm layers and buyers , quail and duck rearing. FAQs are compiled based on the experiences of veterinary scientific community and field veterinarians while serving the livestock farmers.
