VIAtrans: Accessible Transportation Made Simple
VIAtrans is a paratransit transportation service for people with disabilities, provided by VIA Metropolitan Transit in the San Antonio area. This shared-ride, curb-to-curb service promotes independence and expands access to opportunity through convenient, reliable mobility.
To use VIAtrans, individuals must first apply to determine eligibility. Once approved, customers receive a VIAtrans ID number used to book rides. To learn more or apply, visit VIAinfo.net/viatrans-paratransit or call (210) 362-5050.
The VIAtrans app makes booking rides easier than ever for registered customers. Rides can be scheduled from one to four days in advance. Behind the scenes, smart technology optimizes scheduling and operations—improving the overall experience with more accurate pick-up and drop-off times. Real-time tracking allows vehicles to be monitored and adjusted as needed, with updates shared directly through the app.
Each ride costs $2.00 each way. Customers can conveniently pay by credit card through the app or with cash or a ticket at the time of pick-up.
