About 매일매일 일본어 단어
"Everyday Japanese Words" is a Japanese vocabulary app that leverages the weapon Koreans already possess—Korean Hanja pronunciation.
The character 医学 (igaku) is the same as the Korean word for "medicine." Similarly, 学生 (gakusei) means "student," and 説明 (seolmyeong) means "explanation." For these words, you don't need to memorize them anew; you simply need to learn how to read them. This app first shows you that shortcut and separately marks words for which the shortcut does not work (trick words with different meanings).
**Everyday Japanese Words** ■ Recommended for:
· Those who want to expand their vocabulary to the JLPT N5~N3 level
· Those who know some Kanji but struggle with reading Japanese
· Those who want to learn by connecting new words to what they already know, rather than rote memorization
· Those who want to keep their phone in their pocket and repeat words by listening only during their commute
■ Key Features
📚 9,511 words arranged in order of frequency
· Sort by actual usage frequency — Learning from the beginning works the fastest
· 3 levels (Beginner: N5 equivalent / Intermediate: N4 equivalent / Advanced: N3 equivalent), 29 pages
· Reading, meaning, example sentence, and Korean Hanja pronunciation for each word on a single page
🃏 Solid learning with 3 memory types
· Meaning (Spelling → Meaning), Reading (Spelling → Kana), Production (Meaning → Spelling)
· Asks about a word from three different directions to prevent the "I think I've seen it but can't write it" state
· FSRS interval repetition — Asks you again just as you are about to forget
🈯 Kanji 1,809 characters, by level
· Organized by Han-Gyeom level, covering Elementary 1–6, Middle School, High School, and even beyond Commonly Used Hanja
· Distinguishes between On-reading (reading derived from Korean Hanja pronunciation) and Kun-reading (reading to be memorized anew)
· For each Hanja, view a collection of included words that use that character
⚠️ Marking of "Trick" words
· "Study" is for studying, not coercion. Warnings about words with the same Kanji but different meanings
· Read today's trap words one by one on the home screen
🎧 Review just by listening
· Reads the word in the order of Word → Meaning → Example Sentence
· Allows you to adjust your thinking time, so you can review even with your phone in your pocket
📝 3 types of quizzes
· Select Meaning / Select Reading / Context Fill-in-the-blank
· Re-learn incorrect words immediately from the results screen
📊 Tracking your growth
· Graphs showing Level, XP, Consecutive Study Days, and 14-Day Study Volume
· View progress on two axes separately: Vocabulary (V-axis) and Kanji (K-axis)
■ About Data and Notation
