Autophone lets you contact a car owner knowing only their license plate. No phone numbers exchanged, no personal details published.

Blocked in, headlights left on, flat tyre, tow truck arriving, scratched in a car park - instead of leaving a note under the wiper, message them directly in the app.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Point your camera at the plate and the app reads it automatically. Or type it in yourself.
2. If the owner is registered with Autophone, a chat opens.
3. Tell them what happened. They get a notification on their phone.

To receive messages yourself, add your own vehicle to your profile.

PRIVACY

Your phone number is never shown to anyone. Conversations use nicknames, and you can hide yours too.

Plate recognition runs entirely on your device - photos are not sent to any third-party server.

People can only message you after you have added the plate to your profile yourself. A plate nobody has registered cannot be used to contact anyone.

Don't want to be contacted? Remove the plate from your profile or block a specific user.

AUTOPRO

Two vehicles are free. An AutoPRO subscription raises the limit to 5, 10 or 15 vehicles and adds a PRO badge next to your nickname.

The subscription renews automatically once a year. You can cancel it at any time in your Google Play account settings. The price is shown in your own currency in the app before you buy.

IMPORTANT

Autophone does not verify vehicle ownership - plates are added by users themselves. The app does not provide owner records from government databases and does not track vehicle locations.

Autophone is a tool for drivers to reach each other, not a license plate lookup service.
