About Lido Hearts: Classic Card Game
Lido Hearts brings the trick-taking game you know from family tables and old computers to a seaside terrace of the 1930s: cream stucco, navy plaques, gilt sunbursts and sea-glass tiles. You sit at the bottom of the table; Hugo, Odile and Remy take the other three seats.
The rules are the ones you remember. Pass three cards to the left, then to the right, then across, then keep them. The two of clubs leads. Follow suit when you can. Every heart is a point and the queen of spades is thirteen, so you want as few as possible. Take them all and you shoot the moon. When someone reaches 100 after a hand, the lowest total wins.
Three tables to choose from
Gentle for an easygoing game, Steady for careful play, Sharp for opponents who plan every trick. Your companions see only their own cards and the cards on the table, exactly like you. They never peek.
Cards made to be read
Each card carries a tall corner number you can read from arm's length, a drawn suit shape and a small badge on every point card. Four-colour suits are on from the start and can be switched to two colours in Settings.
Two taps, no hurry
Tap a card to lift it, then tap Play or the medallion. The cards you may play stand a little higher, and a line above your hand tells you why a card must wait. The others play at a gentle pace; tap the table to hurry them along.
Today's deal
Every day brings one hand dealt the same for everyone. Play it with your morning coffee and keep your run of days going.
A game you can put down
Every card is saved as it is played. Close the app mid-trick and it opens at the same moment, with the same next move. It plays fully offline.
Help when you want it
One hint per hand is free: it suggests a card to play or three to pass. More hints are there if you choose to watch a short ad.
TalkBack reads every card, what it is worth and whether you may play it, announces each card played and who takes the trick, and lets you play a card straight from its actions. Text follows your font size.
Lido Hearts is free with ads: a banner under the table, an occasional full-screen ad between hands, and optional videos for extra hints.
