NiNi - Baby Monitor

NiNi turns two Android phones on the same Wi-Fi into an audio baby monitor. Put an old phone in the nursery as the baby unit and keep your own phone as the parent unit. No extra hardware, no account, no cloud. Basic monitoring is free.

SOUND ALERTS
When sound in the baby's room goes above the threshold you choose, the parent phone gets a notification and starts listening automatically for as long as you set. Alerts also arrive when the screen is locked.

LISTEN AND TALK
Tap once to listen live; press and hold to talk to your baby, like an intercom.

SEE THE ROOM
A live sound graph with your alert threshold shows how loud the nursery is. Drag the threshold to fit your room.

KNOWS WHEN SOMETHING IS WRONG
NiNi tells you if the baby phone can't be reached, its microphone stops, its battery runs low, its charger is unplugged or it gets too hot. It also warns you if Do Not Disturb, silent mode or a muted notification volume would keep alerts from reaching you, and opens the right setting.

SECURE PAIRING
Tap the baby phone in the list and confirm the same 6-digit number on both screens, or scan a QR code. The connection between the phones is encrypted, and paired phones reconnect on their own.

WORKS IN THE BACKGROUND
Monitoring keeps running with the screen off and the app closed, until you stop it.

CHECK BEFORE BED
A one-minute night check tests the connection, the baby phone's microphone and the alert on your phone, step by step.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Audio-only, no camera. Sound travels only between your paired phones on your home network; it is never sent to a server. No account needed.

NINI PLUS (monthly, 3-month or yearly)
One parent buys it and it works on every paired parent phone:
• Up to 5 parent phones at once
• Floating bubble: listen or talk while using other apps
• White noise on the baby phone with a timer
• 30-day history with a chart, and event clips
• Schedules, a home screen widget and your own alert sound

REQUIREMENTS
Both phones must be on the same Wi-Fi network. On guest networks (hotels, cafés) the phones often can't see each other; use one phone's hotspot instead (no internet needed). The baby phone needs no SIM card or mobile data. Android 8.0 or newer.

NiNi is a baby monitor, not a medical device. It does not monitor sleep or breathing and does not replace adult supervision.
