Purity Quest

Purity Quest is a private, on-device companion for quitting pornography — built for people who want real accountability, not just another habit tracker.
REAL BLOCKING, NOT JUST WILLPOWER
• A genuine on-device DNS blocker filters out known adult sites across every browser and app on your phone — not an honor system.
• The blocklist auto-updates from actively-maintained public sources, combining close to a million known adult domains.
• Optionally block specific apps for real during a Focus session (Instagram, TikTok, or any app on your phone), using Android's Accessibility service.
• Lockdown mode, for when you don't trust your future self: once on, the blocker can't be turned off from inside the app.
• Add your own sites to block — your personal list, never shared or seen by anyone else.
BUILT FOR ACCOUNTABILITY
• Track your clean streak, earn XP, and level up as you go.
• Log slips honestly — your score takes a hit, but honesty is how you actually grow.
• Grace days protect your streak from an honest slip-up.
• Badges for real milestones: your first day, a week, a month, resisting urges.
FAITH-BASED SUPPORT
• Choose your faith (Christianity, Islam, Judaism, or Hinduism) and get daily verses and reflections that speak to you.
• A library of 50 verses per faith, plus a real-time quote whenever a site gets blocked.
• Schedule quote reminders throughout your day, chosen by you or randomized from your tradition.
KNOW THE WHY
• 15 short lessons across brain science, psychology, and real-life impact — what's actually happening when you feel an urge, and why quitting is worth it.
• Written honestly: where the research is mixed, we say so, rather than overstating it.
FOR THE HARD MOMENTS
• A guided breathing exercise and urge timer for when a craving hits — most urges pass within 10 minutes.
• Write "if-then" plans ahead of time ("if I feel bored at night, then I'll go for a walk") so you already know what to do.
• Write letters to your future self, delivered right when you need them most.
• Panic Mode: one tap turns on the blocker and starts a focus session, instantly, no matter how you're feeling.
UNDERSTAND YOUR PATTERNS
• A personal risk heatmap shows when temptation actually tends to hit for you — so you can plan around it.
• Recovery Wrapped: a shareable summary of your progress, whenever you want to see how far you've come.
100% PRIVATE, NO ACCOUNT NEEDED
• Everything — your journal, streak, slip logs, letters — stays on your device. There's no account, no server, no way for us to see any of it.
• No analytics, no ads, no trackers, ever.
Purity Quest doesn't just track your streak — it gives you real tools to actually stay clean. Start today.

HOW PURITY QUEST USES VPNSERVICE
Purity Quest uses Android's VpnService only for its optional website blocker. When you turn it on, the app creates a local, on-device VPN that looks at DNS lookups (the request your phone makes to turn a website name into an address) and blocks lookups for known adult websites. Nothing else is routed through the VPN.
• Filtering happens on your device. Lookups for sites that are not blocked are passed to Google Public DNS to be resolved, the same step your phone performs without the blocker.
• Purity Quest does not log, store, or share the sites you visit or any blocklist matches.
• This is not a general-purpose VPN. Your traffic is not routed through any remote server and your IP address is not changed.
• The blocker only runs when you turn it on. Lockdown mode is optional and prevents turning it off inside the app; you can always remove the VPN in Android's VPN settings or uninstall the app.
• Android shows its standard VPN permission prompt and a key icon while it is active.
