WHY PAPERSCREEN EXISTS

I spend long hours in front of a screen every day. Several years ago, I built a brightness utility, but gradually realized that making an image darker did not remove the unmistakably digital feel of a display.

Later, while looking at the printed books and e-paper reader beside me, I began exploring whether a screen could feel softer and quieter like paper while still keeping its color and motion.

After many rounds of adjusting paper tones, textures, and soft-light effects, PaperScreen became a tool I genuinely wanted to keep on every day. I am sharing it now in the hope that it can make your screen feel more natural and comfortable too.
