About Yunlo: Tai Chi Walking
Yunlo teaches tai chi walking from the feet up: how to shift your weight, place a foot before you stand on it, and step slowly forward, back and to the side. A 3D teacher shows every step, then walks with you, in the space of a small room.
SEE THE FEET
Turn the teacher with a finger, or choose a view: from behind, from the front like a mirror, from the side, or down at her feet. Slow her to half or three-quarter speed, or tap "Show me again".
A PLAN THAT STARTS WITH WALKING
Four stages and 24 sessions, at your own pace: Find your feet, Add the arms, Four directions, The long walk. You take your first cat step in the first session. No stage is locked, and nothing is behind a paywall.
WALK ANY DAY, AS LONG AS YOU LIKE
Choose a walk and a length: 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes. There is cat-step practice, a sideways line, Part the Wild Horse's Mane, Brush Knee, Repulse the Monkey and Wave Hands Like Clouds from the 24-Form, a forward-and-back line, a long walk, the Eight Brocades qigong set, and "Loosen up", the five warm-ups on their own.
MADE FOR BEGINNERS
• Every new movement is shown first, slowly, before you walk it
• Spoken instructions in time with the teacher, and a soft chime
• A short safety check before you start, and an honest article on what tai chi walking can and can't do
• Stage 1 needs standing room only; later walks use up to about 3 metres of floor
• Larger text, light and dark themes, and layouts for phones, tablets and foldables
• A daily reminder, only if you turn it on
MINUTES, NOT PROMISES
Yunlo counts your walking minutes against a weekly goal you choose. It makes no weight-loss promises and shows no before-and-after pictures: gentle movement most days, alongside how you eat. An optional body log keeps your weight and waist on your phone, and an optional energy line gives a rough estimate from published figures.
FREE, AND EVERY WALK WORKS OFFLINE
No account and no sign-in. Nothing is locked. Yunlo shows ads.
The movements follow the official text of the 24-Form (1956) and the Health Qigong version of the Eight Brocades, in our own words. Yunlo isn't affiliated with any tai chi or qigong association. It offers general guidance on gentle exercise and isn't medical advice: if you have a health condition, are pregnant or have had a recent fall, check with your doctor before you start.
