Floss Tally Stash

Floss Tally is an offline-first embroidery floss stash tally built for cross-stitchers and needleworkers who keep a wall of colour-numbered skeins—not a generic craft journal. Open the app and land on a fullscreen skein-wall: a dense grid of colour-chip tiles showing brand code, approximate swatch, skeins on hand, and allocation pips. Tap any tile to adjust counts with one-tap +/−, or long-press for bulk changes. Low-stock and zero-stock edge rings make empties obvious at a glance. Pin named project kit cards that reserve specific shade numbers and skein quantities from your real on-hand stash. A live shortage engine subtracts free (unreserved) skeins from kit needs and spills missing shades straight into a shopping list. Check off purchases to restock the wall automatically. Share a plain-text list for store runs. Brand-aware shade entry and filters cover DMC, Anchor, and Madeira, plus free-text number search. A seed library of common DMC codes with approximate RGB swatches gets your first wall up fast. Every shade keeps an allocation ledger—which projects hold how many skeins—with release-on-finish when a kit is done. All data stays on your device via local storage. No spreadsheet, no guessing at DMC numbers—just a living colour wall, locked project allocations, and a precise missing-shade shopping list before you leave the bench.
