PlayTVH for TVHeadend

Your TVHeadend, within reach. PlayTVH brings your live channels, program guide and recordings together on Android phones, tablets and Android TV. Requires your own TVHeadend server; no channels or TV subscriptions are included.

Find your next show
See what's on now and coming up next. Browse channels, keep favorites close, and search the guide for something worth watching.

Plan it. Record it. Enjoy it.
Schedule individual programs or series recordings from the guide. Keep upcoming, completed and failed recordings organized, then watch recordings stored on your server.

Take your recordings with you
On phones and tablets, download completed recordings for offline playback.

Settle in with Android TV
Browse live channels and the guide with your remote. Watch server recordings and manage your DVR from the sofa.

Made for your setup
Connect to multiple TVHeadend servers and discover servers on your local network. On phones and tablets, send compatible streams to a Chromecast receiver. Receiver and stream compatibility apply.

A simple purchase
One-time purchase. No PlayTVH subscription, in-app purchases or added ads. No PlayTVH cloud account.

Before you start
You need a reachable TVHeadend server, configured channels and a server user with streaming access; recording features also require DVR access. Live TV and recording management need a network connection to your server. Access away from home requires your own secure remote setup. Offline viewing described here is for completed recordings downloaded to a phone or tablet.
