📱 What Play Binary Is About

In Play Binary, you see a square grid with fixed clue cells and empty cells. Clue cells are locked and cannot be changed. Tap an empty cell to place 0, tap again to switch to 1, and keep adjusting until the board is valid.

The format is based on equal counts and short runs of identical digits. Play Binary adds touch controls, color-coded cells, and clear feedback while you play.

📏 Three Core Rules

Play Binary uses the same rules on every difficulty level:

• Each row must contain the same number of 0s and 1s • Each column must contain the same number of 0s and 1s • No three identical digits may appear next to each other in a row or column

A row can look correct while a column fails, so Play Binary asks you to scan the full board, not one line alone.

🎯 Three Difficulty Levels

Play Binary includes three grid sizes:

🔹 Easy — 4×4 for learning the rules quickly 🔹 Normal — 6×6 for more open space and more decisions 🔹 Hard — 8×8 for the largest board and the deepest focus

Each size uses its own puzzle set. A random puzzle is selected when you start a session at that level.

Play Binary supports simple mobile controls:

• Tap to place 0, then tap again for 1 • Reset clears your entries and keeps the original clues • Check validates a completed grid and shows rule errors • Menu returns to the main screen and stops the timer • Play Again and Main Menu appear after a solved puzzle

Locked clues use a distinct border. Editable 0 and 1 cells use separate colors for quick reading.

📊 Row and Column Counters

Play Binary shows live counters beside each row and above each column. They display how many 0s and 1s are placed in that line.

Counters turn red when a line is out of balance or already has too many of one digit. After a failed Check, the app highlights problem rows and columns so you can locate the mistake faster.

⏱️ Session Tracking

During each puzzle, Play Binary tracks:

• Time from the start of the session • Moves for every cell change you make

When all rules are satisfied, the app opens a result screen with your time, move count, and difficulty label. Your fastest time for each grid size is saved locally on the device so you can compare later runs with your own past results.

💡 Feedback During Play

Play Binary warns you when a move creates three identical digits in a row or column, or when a line exceeds the allowed count for one digit. The active cell shakes briefly and a short message appears.

When every cell is filled and the board is valid, the result screen opens automatically. You may also press Check at any time after the grid is complete.

🌙 Offline and Self-Contained

All puzzles in Play Binary are stored in the app. No internet connection is needed to play. The interface uses a dark theme and works offline in places where connectivity is limited.
