Mr. Phileas Plant is a botanist of the old school — patient, a little formal, and entirely certain that your plant deserves better than a guess.

Point your camera at a leaf and he will tell you what he thinks it is, how sure he is, and what he ruled out along the way. When he is not sure, he says so. A confident wrong answer is a far worse thing than an honest "I couldn't tell you."

HONEST ABOUT WHAT THIS IS

Plant identification here is done by AI, which means it is often very good and occasionally wrong. Every result shows how confident it is and what else was considered. Treat it as a knowledgeable friend with strong opinions, not an oracle.

ABOUT YOUR PRIVACY

Location is used only to note the rough region where you were exploring, for passport stamps, and only when you identify a plant. Never your exact spot. You can leave it switched off entirely and everything else works.
