About Bip Hora – Hourly Chime
Bip Hora marks the passing of time the way you prefer: a short sound, a voice
speaking the time, a discreet vibration, or a card on the screen. You combine
them however you like.
It works with the app closed, and keeps working after you restart the phone.
TWO WAYS TO BE REMINDED
Chime - on a cadence. Every hour, every 30 minutes, every 5 minutes. Within the
time range you set, and only on the weekdays you choose.
Alarms - at fixed times. At 07:30, at 12:00, at 18:45. As many times as you
want, on the days you want.
THE VOICE GETS IT RIGHT
"It is five forty-five in the afternoon."
The app spells the numbers out as words instead of handing "17:45" to the
synthesizer, which is how you end up hearing "seventeen colon forty-five". It
knows midnight and noon by name, and says "five oh five" the way a person would.
The same care went into all three languages it speaks.
It can also say the name you gave the reminder. Or just the name, without the
time.
FIVE SOUNDS OF ITS OWN
Bell, Ding, Block, Chime and Drop. Each one can repeat from one to five times.
If you prefer, use any notification sound already on your phone.
IT KNOWS WHEN TO STAY QUIET
Bip Hora reads the state of the phone and goes silent on its own while you are
on a call or recording audio, so the reminder never lands inside your voice
message.
If you want, it can also stay quiet while music is playing, while headphones are
connected, or while the screen is off. You decide which of those rules apply.
BUILT NOT TO FAIL
A reminder that does not ring is worth nothing. So the app detects the Android
battery restrictions and takes you straight to the right settings screen to fix
them, instead of writing "turn off battery saver" here and hoping.
WHAT PEOPLE USE IT FOR
A sense of time passing during work or study. A nudge to drink water. Time to
get out of the chair and stretch. Focus blocks. Or simply the old pleasure of a
clock that chimes on the hour.
ALSO INCLUDED
Light and dark theme, following your phone.
English, Portuguese and Spanish.
Settings backup to a file, to change phones without setting everything up again.
1.4 MB download.
