Can you clear the board before the tray runs out of room?

Picture Pairs is a tap-away puzzle about pictures cut in two. Every level fills a board with cards, and every card is one half of a picture with an arrow on it. Tap a card and it slides off the board along its arrow, as long as nothing stands in its way, and lands in the tray. When the other half arrives, the two slide together, the seam disappears and the whole picture flies away.

Every level has a theme of its own: Cats, Pugs, Teapots, Cinnamon Rolls, Treasure Chests, Flowers. 30 themes and 342 pictures in all, and no theme repeats. The halves of one picture match in colour and mood, so a glance at the tray tells you which card on the board you are looking for.

The tray has six slots. A half whose partner is still on the board waits there, and when the sixth slot fills with a half that has no pair, the level is over. When only one slot is left, it turns red. Watch the arrows: a card whose path is blocked only shivers when you tap it, and the cards in front of it have to go first.

Deeper in, the boards learn new tricks. Boards take on shapes of their own, a cross, a diamond, an hourglass, and a gap in the shape is an exit too. Mystery cards lie face down and turn over the moment their path clears. Linked cards are chained in pairs: take one and the other follows, and both land in the tray.

Picture Pairs has no timer, no move limit and no lives to wait for. Fill the tray and you can try the level again from the start. And when you cannot see the next move, the hint finds the other half for a card in the tray and brings it over, wherever it lies on the board. With an empty tray it completes a picture straight from the board.
