Otis’s Emergency Passenger Assistance Line (ePAL) app is part of the communication system that allows authorized personnel and emergency personnel to communicate with trapped passengers in Otis elevators. ePAL is compatible with elevators that are equipped with Otis ONE™ Plus Video or Otis ONE Plus Voice IoT systems.
ePAL is the application built into the elevator through which passengers communicate with authorized and emergency personnel via voice, video and text after the passenger pushes the elevator phone button. Authorized and emergency personnel can speak to the passengers directly or communicate via text message using the in-car screen. Authorized and emergency personnel are also able to view a live video feed from inside the car to check on the condition of the passengers.
In the unlikely event that passengers become trapped in an elevator, ePAL keeps the lines of communication open and helps keep passengers calm and informed while help is on the way.
