About Orbit - Campus Chat
Orbit pairs you with one person from your campus every day — completely anonymous, until you both choose to share more.
HOW IT WORKS
Every day, Orbit's algorithm matches you with someone at your school based on shared interests, personality, and what you're both looking for. You'll see an icebreaker tailored to what you two have in common, then it's up to you to take it from there.
Matches are anonymous by default. You'll both show up as a randomly generated alias — no real names, no profile pictures of yourselves, no way to look each other up. If the conversation clicks, you can each choose to share contact info (Instagram, Snapchat, phone, email) — only revealed once you both agree to share the same type.
Each match lasts until midnight. Miss the moment and a new match arrives the next day.
WHO IT'S FOR
Orbit is built for real students at real universities. Sign-up requires a verified .edu email address from a participating campus — no bots, no outsiders.
SAFETY FIRST
• Block and report any user directly from a conversation
• Reports are reviewed by real admins, not an algorithm
• No public profile, no browsing, no swiping — you can't seek out or stalk anyone
• Nothing is shared until both people opt in
WHY ORBIT
Dating and meeting-people apps can feel like a popularity contest. Orbit strips that away — no profile pictures to judge, no endless swiping, no algorithm optimizing for engagement. Just one real conversation a day with someone from your own campus who might actually make sense for you.
Free to use. No ads, no premium tier, no catch.
