About One Thing: 5 Minutes a Day

One task a day. Five minutes. Then you're done until tomorrow.

Built for people who want a daily habit but bounce off dashboards, badges and streaks they have to defend. You open it and see one thing: today's task.

HOW IT WORKS

You read a short instruction. You start the five-minute timer if you want one. You write a private note if you feel like it. Finish, and the day closes with nothing else left to do.

Every task is a micro habit: a simple, concrete thing you can complete in 5 minutes.

THE LIBRARY

120 tasks across four tracks, 30 in each.

Mindset: noticing how you talk to yourself, reframing it, making procrastination visible.

Focus: starting work, protecting your attention, ending the day cleanly.

Movement: five minutes of stretching, a short walk, breathing practice. No equipment needed.

Relationships: small and specific contact, repair, actually paying attention to someone.

Pick one track or let it rotate through all four. Tasks never repeat. When you finish the library it reshuffles into a new order and continues at no extra cost.

THIS IS NOT A TRACKING DASHBOARD

No charts, no percentages, no red mark telling you how many days you missed.

The day count is optional and can be turned off in Settings. Miss a day and it stops; nothing is deleted and no progress is reset. If you want simple habit tracking, the day count does that but this app was not built to shame you. It stays calm and gentle by design: a daily habit that does not keep score.

You get at most one reminder a day, and only if you pick a time yourself. No follow-ups, no streak warnings, no messages nudging you to come back.

PRICE

The full library is open for seven days. Nothing is locked.

After that a single one-time purchase unlocks it permanently. Not monthly, not yearly - once. There is no subscription in this app; nothing recurring can be created, so there is nothing for you to cancel. A lifetime purchase, and that is the end of it.

YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU

Notes you write are stored on your device. They are not uploaded, we cannot read them, and they are excluded from anything the app measures.

The app works offline. No account, no sign-in, no email address required.

WHO IT IS FOR

Busy professionals and students anyone with five minutes a day. For beginners who want daily self improvement without the overwhelm of a dense, gamified app, and for anyone tired of billing surprises.

What’s new

Version 1.6.1 · Updated September 23, 2026

The reminder now arrives at the time you picked. A time zone bug could shift it by hours. Appearance is yours to choose: light, dark, or whatever your phone says. The phone stays the default.
