About Sehat Tahafuz
Sehat Tahafuz App is an initiative by Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Government of Pakistan. It is a fund-based health financing solution that aims to provide financial access to treatment to overcome catastrophic healthcare expenditures for eligible individuals who are not covered by the Sehat Sahulat program
The program works in partnership with service providers (hospitals) that identify patients requiring financial support. Patients identified are then assessed by Tahafuz against an eligibility criterion. For eligible patients, hospitals are directly reimbursed for pre-defined treatment costs National Information Technology Board is the Technology Partner for the Sehat Tahafuz App.
