Plastic Surgery Education

The spectrum of plastic surgery is diverse and enormous. Therefore, it is not possible to have a first-hand experience of the entire spectrum of work during the plastic surgery training. Surgical videos are a proven and effective means to address this void in the teaching and learning process. Most of us surgeons learn best visually. It has also been observed that surgeons who participate in video-based training achieve learning milestones in shorter amounts of time. Watching surgical videos before performing the procedure also minimises the complication rates and improve outcomes.

The high quality surgical as well as planning and decision-making videos on this site are structured, crisp and focussed. The field in surgical videos is bloodless giving a clear visualisation of the anatomy which is the most important aspect of any surgical procedure. The curated and concise videos have covered the nuances of the individual procedures without compromising critical details. The voice over for the videos gives the viewer the clarity to perform the procedures with confidence. Through these videos you will gain practical insights into the surgical techniques involved in flap harvesting, ensuring precision and efficacy in your surgeries.

Planning is the most important aspect of any Plastic surgery procedure, most importantly of flaps. The planning videos give a step-by-step approach to planning in reverse of individual flaps which is very easy to understand and replicate.

Case discussions take you through the thought process of deciding the best possible reconstructive option for a particular defect.

Be it for preparation for exams, or clinical practise, these videos are useful to the trainee plastic surgeons as well as consultant plastic surgeons. Studying these videos before performing an actual procedure for the trainee or a quick glance through the important steps for a consultant doing the procedure occasionally, is sure to minimise the complication rates and help achieve better outcomes in the procedure.

These videos are not an alternative to reading standard textbooks and journal articles or assisting the actual procedures but are the second-best thing which will supplement these things in a very effective manner. This program targets practising Plastic surgeons as well as trainee Plastic surgeons by providing a real and genuine experience of continued medical education through high quality videos at minimal pricing.

In this program, we have various modules on Lower extremity flaps, Flaps for upper extremity as well as a module of Planning and Case discussions. Each of these modules have between fifteen to thirty videos each of the commonly performed flaps. Please feel free to peruse through the platform to see the various videos which are available.

More modules and Master classes will be added in due course of time. There are options to invest in individual videos, courses, or packages with combination of different courses. Membership options are also available. Membership of Plastic surgery education ensures access of all the content available on this platform.

New content will be added at regular intervals, and all the patrons will have access to the newly added content through their subscription period.
