Cygnus

Cygnus is a frosted glass home screen drawn in one ink.

Every pane is glass. It blurs the ground behind it, live, and the app drawer rises over it as a deeper sheet of frosted glass. Every app's icon becomes a mark in the same ink on a frosted tile, automatically. There is no accent colour anywhere. Light, dark, or follow your phone.

YOUR HOME, ARRANGED
A clock pane and a battery dial at the top, your apps below, pages when you need more room, and a dock of five. Hold an app and move it: from the drawer to the home, in and out of the dock, into a folder. Name folders where they are. Hide the apps you never open.

SEARCH AND GESTURES
Search in the drawer ranks as you type, and Go opens the top hit. Swipe down, swipe left, swipe right, double tap and long press each take a job: the app drawer, search, settings, locking the screen, or any app you choose.

PANES
An agenda from your calendar, a media pane for whatever is playing, the week number on the date, and one widget from any app, set in the same glass.

ICONS YOUR WAY
Prefer an icon pack? Cygnus draws it in the same ink. Any app can wear a letter mark instead.

IT STAYS YOURS
No ads. No account. No analytics. Your layout, hidden apps and settings stay on your phone. Fourteen days free, then one payment to keep the agenda, media and widget panes. Never a subscription, and the launcher itself keeps working either way.

WHAT IT ASKS FOR
Cygnus needs no special permission to be your home screen. The agenda asks for your calendar only when you switch it on. The media pane asks for notification access only when you switch it on. Locking the screen with a gesture asks for one device-admin permission, force-lock, only when you choose it. All of it is optional.

Requires Android 12 or newer: the live blur is the product, and there is no honest way to fake it below that.
