About VetWiz EEG
VetWiz EEG is a veterinary clinical and research app that measures a dog's electroencephalogram (EEG), analyzes it using qEEG, and organizes the results into easy-to-understand reports. It connects to an 8-channel EEG device via Bluetooth to provide a seamless workflow from measurement and impedance checks to real-time monitoring, signal analysis, and PDF reports.
VetWiz EEG is a veterinary app designed for clinical and research use. ■ Key Features
· Bluetooth Connection: Easy connection with 8-channel EEG equipment; device search, registration, and connection management
· Channel Settings: Selection of channels to measure (supports partial measurement)
· Impedance Check: Ensures measurement quality by verifying electrode contact status per channel via color
· Real-time Monitor: Real-time display of waveforms per channel, recording time settings, and trigger (segment display) recording
· Quantitative Analysis (qEEG): Band-specific power (Delta–Gamma), Power Spectral Density (PSD), Hemispheric Coupling, Signal Complexity (Lempel-Ziv)
· Scalp Distribution: Visualizes band-specific relative power as a topographic map (color scale + contour lines) based on a dog's head
· Cognitive Reference Indicators: Reference indicators based on qEEG literature for canine cognitive impairment (CCD) (High-frequency Hemispheric Coupling, Coupled Signal Complexity, Alpha Power)
· PDF Report: Generation and sharing of reports containing qEEG 3-axis summary, comprehensive findings, band power table, PSD, coupling, complexity, scalp distribution, reference interpretation, and references
· Data Management: Recording CSV library (search, share, delete), session (subject) information tagging, electrode montage presets
· Ease of Use: Dark/Light mode, screen swipe toggle, onboarding tutorial
■ Useful for:
· Veterinarians and researchers measuring and analyzing canine brainwaves for clinical or research purposes
· Those wishing to quantitatively observe and track changes in brain function in senior dogs
■ Measurement Tips
· Check electrode contact (impedance) first in a stable state before measuring.
· Motion and EMG noise can lower analysis reliability, so the app automatically selects valid intervals for analysis.
■ Notes and Precautions
· This app is a tool for measuring and quantifying qEEG signals, and the displayed indicators and reports are for reference only.
· It is not a medical device and does not replace the diagnosis, assessment, or treatment of any disease. Please follow the comprehensive clinical judgment of a veterinarian.
· Compatible 8-channel EEG measurement equipment is required for use.
