About Civil Calc

Civil Calc is a construction quantity calculator for site engineers, quantity surveyors and contractors — and it is built on one promise the others can't make: a number you can send to someone.

Every result shows its arithmetic. Tap "Show working" on any answer and see the exact steps — 3.0 × 2.5 × 0.15 = 1.13 m³, × 1.54 = 1.73 m³, and so on. Every constant in that working is tappable: don't agree the dry‑volume factor is 1.54? Change it, and the answer updates. Share sends the working AND the assumptions, not just a number your PM has to take on faith.

NO ADS. NO INTERNET PERMISSION. EVERYTHING FREE.
Not "free with ads". Not "free until the useful calculators". No banners, no pop‑ups, no interstitials, no "watch a video to unlock". The app doesn't even ask for the Internet permission — your measurements physically cannot leave your phone. Every calculator, every constant, every working, forever free.

CALCULATORS
• Concrete — slab, round slab, column (square/round), beam, footing, tank (round & rectangular), staircase, box & pipe culvert, cantilever retaining wall, formwork. The staircase, the culverts and the roof are the ones the other apps lock behind a paywall — here they are free, and they show their working like everything else.
• Roofing — a pitched roof's tiles and its true sloped area (the footprint ÷ cos of the pitch — the slope stretch a flat-area estimate silently drops).
• Reinforcement — slab steel (one‑ & two‑way), column steel, beam steel, with a visible bar bending schedule.
• Masonry — brickwork and blockwork, from YOUR actual brick size (a 230×110×70 Sri Lankan brick is 434 per m³, not the 500 other apps assume — a 15% error).
• Finishes — plaster, paint, tiles, terrazzo, pavers, floor bricks, all with proper IS 1200 opening deductions.
• Earthwork — excavation, filling, slope filling.
• Roads & water — asphalt, superelevation, water‑tank demand sizing.
• Geometry — volume & area of 18 shapes in one screen, plus an honest n‑sided land calculator (most apps get irregular plots wrong; this one asks for the diagonals that actually fix the shape).

BILL OF QUANTITIES — AND IT ROUNDS ONCE
Add any result to the bill and it totals across every item, then rounds up once at the end. On eight slabs that's 73 bags, not 80 — because you buy cement once, not once per slab. Build a client quotation (company, tax, net total) and a separate materials order; the two never mix, so your margin stays yours. Export either as a PDF.

BUILT TO BE TRUSTED
• Set your rates once in Settings and every calculator costs itself. No price boxes defaulting to zero on every screen.
• One unit toggle moves every field to its correct unit — feet for plans, inches for thickness, in the same breath. Or set any field yourself.
• Warns you when the numbers don't add up (openings bigger than the wall, a slab that's really one‑way) instead of printing a confident wrong answer.
• Regions: Sri Lanka and India (IS nominal mix). Light and dark theme, favourites and recents, search across everything.
