About DigiKen
The idea for this platform was envisioned by the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS) to support the Digiken project. Our founding inspiration was to create a self-paced, digital learning experience accessible to all Kenyans, regardless of their social or economic situation.
We are tackling the digital divide head-on, focusing on those most affected, including individuals in rural and ASAL regions, women, girls, and persons with disabilities. Our long-term vision is to become the primary Digital Learning Hub in Kenya and evolve into a digital university.
Our platform is proudly supported by leading organizations like ACTS, gDIH, UNEP, and UN Women. Our certified curriculum is developed by digital experts with backgrounds in AI, intellectual property, digital finance, and media literacy.
This collaboration ensures our content is relevant, high-quality, and designed to empower learners from basic to intermediate skill levels.
