About Video Repair: Fix Corrupt MP4
Video Repair is a video fixer for corrupted MP4 and MOV files: phone, GoPro, DJI drone and dashcam recordings that won't play after a flat battery, a crash or a full memory card.
Most of these videos stop playing for one specific reason: the camera lost power before it finished writing the file.
Every frame you recorded is still in there. What is missing is the index — the small table at the end of an MP4 or MOV that tells a player where each frame starts. Without it, every player calls the file corrupt, even though the footage is sitting untouched inside.
Video Repair rebuilds that index.
SEE IT WORK BEFORE YOU PAY
Checking the file, repairing the video and previewing the result are free. The preview plays two seconds from the start, the middle and the end of your own footage inside the app, before you decide whether to keep it. If the recovery is poor, you have lost nothing. To save, pay for this one video, or choose a 3-month or yearly plan for every video — cancel anytime in Google Play. If a saved video doesn't play, write to us and we'll refund you.
NOTHING IS UPLOADED
The repair runs entirely on your phone. Your video never leaves the device. There is no server to send it to, and no account to create.
YOUR ORIGINAL STAYS UNTOUCHED
A repair copies your camera's own data byte for byte, and your original file is never changed.
A COPY THAT PLAYS
Video not playing on your phone even though nothing is broken? Some files use a format, codec or resolution the phone can't open, such as some 4K or HDR recordings. For those, Video Repair makes a copy that plays — H.264 video and AAC sound in an MP4 — and you watch it in the app before you save it. Your original stays as it is.
WHAT IT FIXES
• Corrupted videos cut off by a flat battery, a crash, or a full memory card
• Files that stop when a card was pulled mid-write
• Unplayable videos that show 0:00 length, a black screen, or no thumbnail
• Broken or damaged video files from GoPro, DJI drones, dashcams, action cameras and phones
• MP4 repair and MOV repair — H.264 and H.265 video
• Tested on real files from GoPro HERO5 to HERO10, a DJI Avata drone and 70mai and Tesla dash cams — every frame identical to the original, and the sound too where the camera records it
ANOTHER VIDEO FROM THE SAME CAMERA
Most cameras keep their encoding settings only in the part of the file that was lost. The app finds another video from the same phone or camera on its own and borrows those settings from it — no picture or sound is taken from it. Some recordings carry their settings inside the footage and need nothing more.
That same video brings the sound back too. If the app can't find one, it asks you to pick one or to record a few seconds with the same camera, and it tells you which case you are in before you start.
HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS
Not every damaged file can be recovered. If the video data itself was overwritten rather than merely left unindexed, nothing can bring it back, and this app tells you so instead of producing a file that opens and plays noise. Anything that could not be read is reported, not guessed at.
That is also why the preview comes before the payment: you see the start, the middle and the end of what was recovered, playing on your own screen, before you decide it was worth anything.
NOT A DELETED-FILE RECOVERY APP
Video Repair fixes files that exist but will not open. It cannot bring back videos you deleted, and it will not pretend otherwise.

Only app that actually works and it's incredibly fast as well! Totally worth paying for the premium, and it's surprisingly cheap. Stellar job from the devs!
Very useful app for recovering damaged or unplayable videos. I like that you can repair the file and preview the result before paying to save it. The fact that everything is processed directly on the phone is also reassuring for privacy. The simple interface and one-time purchase make this a great tool to have when ...
