Type a code: E11.9, J45.909, S72.001A. Type a keyword: asthma, nephritis, fracture. Or type it the way a patient said it: "heart attack" finds myocardial infarction, "broken arm" finds the fracture codes.

Exact code matches rank first, then prefixes, then descriptions. Matched words are highlighted, and every row says whether the code is billable on its own.

Includes, Excludes1, Excludes2, Code First, Code Also and Use Additional Code appear as separate, labelled sections, each with a plain-English line explaining what that instruction means.

Excludes1 and Excludes2 mean opposite things, and Codra never runs them together. Notes inherited from the block or chapter above a code are shown on it too, and marked as inherited, so you can see where a rule came from.
