In Hong Kong, many families reside in subdivided flats with limited cooking space. This often makes preparing nutritious home-cooked meals difficult, leading to a heavy reliance on takeout. Such circumstances can pose significant challenges to maintaining a healthy and balanced diet, particularly for underprivileged communities.

To address these nutritional challenges, Caritas Social Work Services Division (Service Development) has launched NuVision – a free, AI-powered mobile application designed to empower individuals and families to make informed dietary choices. NuVision is the third AI app developed by the creator since 2024, reflecting a commitment to leveraging technology for social good.

With just a single photo of a meal, NuVision instantly analyzes its nutritional content, providing a valuable tool for those striving for better health in challenging living conditions.
