About Draw Music: Play Music Theory
Draw Music: Music Composer turns your drawings into melodies you can hear instantly. Draw music with simple lines or blocks, tap Play, and watch your sketch become a song. Want to play music theory without starting with sheet music? Explore keys, scales, tempo, and instruments by drawing notes and listening to the results.
Whether you're making your first beat or experimenting with melodies, Draw Music makes music creation visual, playful, and easy to explore.
DRAW MUSIC YOUR WAY
Draw music using flowing strokes with the Line tool, or switch to Cube mode to place notes as blocks. Notes snap to the canvas grid so your drawing plays in time. Undo, redo, and experiment until every line sounds just right.
No complicated setup: start a project, draw notes, and press Play. It's a fun way to draw music and hear your ideas come alive.
PLAY MUSIC THEORY WITH KEYS AND SCALES
Want to play music theory through creative experiments? Choose from 12 keys, C through B, and explore Pentatonic, Major, Minor, Blues, Chromatic, Harmonic Minor, Dorian, Lydian, and Mixolydian scales.
Adjust the BPM to speed up or slow down your composition. Switch keys or scales and hear how the same drawing changes mood. Play music theory by testing patterns, listening to melodies, and discovering what different notes can do.
COLORS, INSTRUMENTS, BASS AND DRUMS
Every color has its own instrument. Draw music in different colors to mix sounds such as Soft Key, Bells, Flute, Guitar, Marimba, Saxophone, Strings, Pluck, Chime, Warm Synth, Electronic Bass, and 8-bit.
Add Bass, Drum Kit, or Arpeggio layers. Build rhythms with kick, snare, clap, hi-hat, open hat, and tom. Mix notes, beats, and instruments to turn a simple sketch into a fuller song.
START WITH SAMPLES
Not sure where to begin? Open a ready-made sample drawing on the Home screen, tap Play, and listen. Change the notes, colors, instruments, or tempo to make it yours.
Samples make it easy to draw music even when you don't know what to create first. You can also play music theory through hands-on experiments with different musical patterns.
SAVE, SHARE AND EXPORT
Save your drawings and songs to the Library, with separate tabs for drafts and exported files. Share or download exported creations in three formats:
MIDI: Keep note data for other music software.
WAV: Save one loop of your composition plus its release tail as audio.
MP4: Export a screen recording of your drawing process.
Exports are created on your device. A MIDI file contains notes, not the exact instrument sounds.
MADE FOR CURIOUS CREATORS
Draw Music is for people who love drawing, beats, melodies, and unexpected sound combinations. Draw music to unwind, create playful tunes, or experiment with new ideas.
If you want to play music theory in a hands-on way, try different keys and scales and hear the difference for yourself. Draw Music is a creative composing tool, not a structured music theory course.
Draw music, press Play, and hear what you've made. Open Draw Music: Music Composer and start your first melody today!
