Tones are not easy to distinguish, as in real life. Makes for great learning tool.
Great for helping differentiate tones! I looked how focused this app is on that one feature and no more.
I am just getting started with learning chinese, and this app has helped soo much.
Very easy to understand and use. More for ear training than learning to read or write pinyin. 1 more star if app2sd. Great on ipod too.
Unlike what other reviewers have said, I like the fact that it is difficult to hear what tone the speaker is using. It is good training. It is legit because my Chinese fiancé gets the tones right every time.
I have a hard time distinguishing tones, and between z,zh,j,ch, c,s,q, and x. I think this app has improved that
