Betűkert helps children learn to read – step by step, at their own pace.
The application is based on Meixner's principles of reading teaching: letters are introduced in a specific order, one by one, and no letter that the child has not yet learned appears in the practice. Letters with similar shapes or sounds (for example, b/d, m/n, sz/s) are consciously practiced by the system, but only when the child already knows both.
How does it work?
• 45 levels from letter recognition to sentence comprehension
• 22 task types: letter, syllable, word and sentence tasks
• Short practice rounds in which the previous material is constantly repeated
• The child advances to the next level when he or she is confident in recognizing the new letter
• After every 5th level, a new plant is added to the child's garden
Some task types
• Letter recognition and letter sequence reading
• Missing letter, letter in word, word fishing
• Syllable reading, syllable counting, syllable memory
• Word building from syllable cards, picture-word matching
• Sentence ordering, sentence comprehension, sentence-picture matching
For parents
• Multiple child profiles can be associated with one parent account, each with its own progress
• PIN-protected parental interface: level, progress, pending repetition letters, statistics
• Task types can be turned on and off individually and can be linked to a level range
• Progress is also stored in the cloud, so it is not lost when switching devices
• It can be used without an internet connection after the first synchronization
Safe environment
• No ads
• No external links or social functions for children
• Usage statistics are collected only with the consent of the parent
Free trial
The first 5 levels are free, without restrictions. The full curriculum (all 45 levels) and free practice can be unlocked with a monthly or annual subscription or a one-time purchase. Access belongs to the parent account, so it is valid for all child profiles. The subscription can be canceled at any time in your Google Play account and will remain until the end of the already paid period.
The application is in Hungarian and is designed for phones.
