Did the Swiss reference rate drop? You may have a right to a lower rent. RentReducer shows you in two minutes whether you have a claim, and mails the right letter straight to your landlord.

RentReducer is an independent app and is not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by the Swiss Confederation, any canton, public authority, or court. All official data and legal references used in the app are listed individually below under "Sources and Disclaimer".

ONE TAP TO SEND. THE APP DOES THE REST

You tap Send once. The app generates the reduction request with your signature and has it printed and sent via Priority Mail (A-Post) by our Swiss postal partner. If no answer comes, the app reminds you after 30 and 60 days, and you fire the right follow-up letter from the app: reminder, document request, or conciliation. No printer, no stamps.

WHAT THE APP DOES

- Check your claim in 2 minutes. Calculation under federal law (Art. 270a CO + VMWG art. 13). Reference rate taken 1:1 from the official table of the Federal Office for Housing (FOH/BWO), inflation 1:1 from the FSO/BFS CPI series, no estimates. (Sources cited below.)
- Generate + send automatically. PDF with your finger-signature, Priority Mail (A-Post) included. Registered with tracking optional (+ CHF 7.90).
- Push when the letter is handed to Swiss Post. With registered mail, also on the day of delivery, so you know when the response deadline starts.
- Auto-reminders after 30 and 60 days. At every reminder, one-tap follow-up: reminder, document-request and conciliation letter all go straight from the app. For the conciliation letter you upload your lease as a photo, the app attaches your prior letters and mails the bundle as registered mail to the conciliation authority. CHF 6.90 per follow-up, plus CHF 7.90 registered for the conciliation letter (or download it as Word and mail it yourself).
- Multiple tenants? Each tenant signs with finger in the wizard, all names appear on the letter.
- Free rate alert. When the reference rate drops, you get a push, and can file again.

PRIVACY

Your data stays on your device. No account, no central database. For mailing, your address and PDF go encrypted to our Swiss postal partner, nothing else.

- Free to download. Claim check + rate alert cost nothing.
- Letter + Priority Mail (A-Post): CHF 9.90 to 29.90, scaled to your monthly savings (~30%).
- Registered with tracking: + CHF 7.90.
- Follow-up letter: CHF 6.90 each (reminder and document-request via Pingen). Conciliation letter: CHF 6.90 + CHF 7.90 registered with lease photo and letter history attached, or download as Word and mail it yourself.
