The Pressure Reduction and Electronic Support Systems (PRESS) Study is an Institutional Review Board (IRB)–approved remote research study conducted by the Cardiovascular Research Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine in collaboration with The Football Players Health Study at Harvard University. The PRESS app is designed exclusively for consented research participants enrolled in this study. The app enables participants to complete validated research surveys and daily self-reported mood assessments using simple emoji-based check-ins. As part of the study protocol, participants may use a wearable device that passively collects certain activity and sleep data for research analysis. These wearable-derived metrics are not displayed or managed within the app and are used solely for study evaluation purposes. All data collected through the app is encrypted, securely stored on the participant’s device, and transmitted to MSM’s HIPAA-compliant research infrastructure in accordance with approved study protocols. The PRESS app is intended only for enrolled study participants and is not a consumer health product, medical device, or clinical decision-support tool.
