Short Deck Poker: 6+ Hold'em

Short deck poker is here — faster, sharper, and more social than classic Texas Hold'em. Play live online 6+ Hold'em with friends in private VIP rooms.

This is your table, your rules, your circle. Fair play, transparent gameplay, and a focus on real poker — your way.

WHAT IS SHORT DECK POKER?

Short deck poker (also called 6+ Hold'em) uses a 36-card deck — the 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s are removed. Hands hit harder, action explodes, and every street matters. Flushes beat Full Houses. Three of a Kind beats a Straight. The Ace can play as the lowest card to make a wheel straight. There's no small or big blind — every player antes, so the pot starts building from hand one. The result? More showdowns, bigger pots, and a game that rewards aggression and quick reads.

HOW TO PLAY

If you've ever played Texas Hold'em, you already know most of short deck poker. Each player gets 2 hole cards. The community board still has a flop, turn, and river. The big difference is the deck — and that one change flips the strategy on its head.

Because low cards are gone, every hand starts stronger. Pocket pairs hit sets more often. Flush draws complete more easily. Aggression pays. Slow play dies. If you sit waiting for premium hands like you would in full-deck Hold'em, you'll bleed antes and miss the action. Short deck rewards players who attack pots, read opponents fast, and adapt their ranges to the new math.

WHAT MAKES THIS GAME DIFFERENT

We designed this experience around player trust. Private rooms with full host control. Fair shuffling. Transparent gameplay. A poker app that respects your time and your wallet, with optional cosmetics instead of pressure to spend.

TIPS FOR SHORT DECK SUCCESS

• Tighten your starting range — pairs and broadway cards win more
• Don't fall in love with Full Houses — Flushes outrank them
• Stay aggressive on draws — they complete more often than in full-deck Hold'em
• Use position relentlessly — short deck rewards positional play even more
• Watch ante cost — bleeding antes is a common way new players lose chips
