MEASURE THE PITCH
• Pitch gauge — lay the phone on the deck or hold it to a rafter for the angle
in degrees and inches-per-foot, with a haptic lock when the reading settles.
• Pitch from a photo — shoot the gable end square-on from the ground, drag a
line onto the slope, and read the pitch without climbing.

TAKE OFF THE ROOF
• Tape measure — log every run (eave, rake, ridge, hip, valley) on the fast
fraction keypad; it totals the linear feet and can seed the material list.
• Material calculator — plan area, pitch, and waste in; squares, shingle
bundles, underlayment, ice-and-water, starter, ridge and hip cap, drip edge,
and nails out. Coverage and waste presets are editable, and any count can be
