Maya — Cholq'ij Day Sign

Today has a character. So do you.

Maya brings the Cholq'ij — the 260-day sacred count still kept by K'iche' Maya day-keepers in Guatemala today — to your phone, computed with the authentic scholarly correlation. This is not Dreamspell, the 1980s New Age reinterpretation Maya communities have rejected as inauthentic — it's the real calendar, as it's actually practised.

TWENTY NAHUALES, THIRTEEN TONES
Each day pairs one of twenty day-signs with a tone from one to thirteen — a quality and an intensity. The wheel turns through all 260 combinations before a day repeats, shown on a live interlocking dial.

A LIVING TRADITION, NOT NEW AGE
Computed with the GMT correlation, the scholarly-accepted correspondence to our calendar — and the app says plainly where it draws the line between the authentic K'iche' oral tradition and any other source.

DIRECTION MATCH
See how your day-sign and another person's relate through the four cardinal directions — a simple, honest compatibility reading (optional add-on).

A DAILY PRACTICE, HIDDEN IN A STORY
Each day's nahual sets the quality and brings one short, ordinary scenario with three choices. Your choices quietly gather into the four sacred directions — East's fire, North's wind, West's earth, South's corn — and your star grows with a lifetime of practice. No scores to chase.

ASK ANYTHING
Ask about today's nahual, your birth sign, a tone, or the tradition itself — the current count and your birth details are already in view. Plain language, any time.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your birth details, practice history, and conversations stay on your device. No account, no tracking. Readings are for reflection, not prediction.
