Recovery Lost Photos - Videos

A missing file isn't always gone. A photo, video, recording, or document may still have an accessible copy in your phone's storage. Recovery Lost Photos - Videos helps you check supported storage locations and see what's available.

When you're looking for a file

Results from accessible storage are gathered in one view. You can preview items, select a single file or several, and narrow the list by type, date, or size. Sort results for easier review.

File types include:
• Photos: JPG, PNG, GIF, HEIC, RAW
• Videos: MP4, MOV, MKV
• Audio: MP3, M4A, WAV
• Documents: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPT, TXT

Available copies can be saved to a supported location.

When files look alike

The app lets you inspect possible duplicates before deciding whether to remove them. Deletion happens only after you confirm it.

When a WhatsApp notification disappears

After you enable Notification Access, text shown in new WhatsApp message notifications can be kept for later review. If a related message is deleted afterward or its notification is cleared, previously captured text may still be available.

This does not give the app access to private chats or WhatsApp databases. It cannot retrieve earlier messages from before access was enabled or rebuild full chat histories. Captured text depends on notification content, settings, Android version, and device setup.

How files are handled

Scanning and saving happen on your device. Files are not uploaded for recovery, and scans do not overwrite original file data.

Not every missing file can be found. Copies may be inaccessible if overwritten, permanently deleted, stored only online, restricted by Android, or protected by another app. Results vary with permissions, storage access, file condition, Android version, and elapsed time.
