my name is John, and i’m the founder of LYS.

i created this app because i wanted to love my life.

i wanted to be excited about life!

excited to wake up each day, and excited for the future.

everyone has their own future that if they can create, they’ll love their life.

my goal is to make it easier for everyone to create that future.

LYS, which stands for Love Yourself, is the first app i’ve built.

LYS is a private, end-to-end encrypted day planner, habit tracker, to-do list, notes app, and journal. Five simple spaces, one quiet app:

CALENDAR
Your to-dos and your calendar events, together in one day. Plan the day, check things off, and swipe to see what's ahead.

HABITS
Build a habit by tracking it. Every day, or just the days you choose. Tap to mark it done and watch your record fill in. Breaking a habit? Count the days without it instead.

GOALS & COUNTDOWNS
Write down what you want to do, and the date you'll do it. Count down the days to the things you're excited for. No streaks to break, no pressure.

NOTES
A personal library, A to Z. Rich text, checklists, pinning, and a search that only you can run. Lock a note with your fingerprint or face. Keep a grocery list that remembers your usuals.

JOURNAL
Five questions about your day, every evening. Answer them before bed and you'll have a record of your days, never a score.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Everything you write is end-to-end encrypted with a key only you hold. Our servers store your words as ciphertext we cannot read. There is no back door, by design. If you use LYS without an account, your content never leaves your phone at all.

Choose from dozens of paper colors, and the whole app, even your app icon, tints to match.

WORKS OFFLINE
Everything works without a connection. Sync is quiet and optional, and only happens once you create an account.
