About Ironbox — Photo & Video Vault

Ironbox is a private vault for the photos and videos on your phone. It is built around one promise: it cannot lose your files, and it will never hold them hostage.

YOUR VAULT LIVES IN A FOLDER YOU CHOOSE
When you set Ironbox up, you pick a real folder on your own storage, and your encrypted vault is written there. If you uninstall Ironbox, that folder stays exactly where it is. Your files are still yours and still there. Most vault apps hide your photos inside app storage, where an uninstall or a failed update takes everything with it. Ironbox does the opposite, on purpose.

YOUR PHOTOS AND VIDEOS NEVER GO ONLINE
Ironbox does not hold the internet permission at all. This is not a promise not to upload — the app is not able to. You can check it yourself before you trust us: the app's permission list is fingerprint unlock, and nothing else. There is no account, no sign-in, no cloud, no analytics and no tracking.

PHOTOS AND VIDEOS, WITH PLAYBACK
Bring items in through Android's own photo picker. Videos play inside the vault. Your originals stay in your gallery until you decide to remove them, and when you do, Android shows you its own confirmation of exactly what will be removed. Ironbox never deletes anything by itself.

PUT ANYTHING BACK, ANY TIME, FREE
Restore a single item to your gallery, or export your whole vault to a folder you choose — for a new phone, or just for a backup. This is free and unlimited, forever, at every tier. It is the reason you can trust everything else on this page.

FREE FOR YOUR FIRST 200 — AND THEY STAY FREE
Install now and your first 200 photos and videos are free, and remain free for as long as you use the app. From 26 November 2026, new installs get 30. There is nothing to buy inside Ironbox today.

HOW YOUR FILES ARE PROTECTED
Every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it is written to your folder. Your PIN unlocks the vault, and fingerprint unlock is optional. A written six-word recovery phrase is the only way back in if you forget your PIN. You hold those words, we do not, and we cannot reset your PIN for you.
