Harada Method: Goal Chart
One goal, eight pillars, 64 daily actions. The Harada Method on your phone.
About Harada Method: Goal Chart
Turn one goal into sixty-four daily actions.
The Harada Method is a goal-achievement system built around a single sheet of paper: the Open Window 64 chart, also known as the mandala chart. You write one goal in the centre. Around it you name the eight pillars that goal rests on. Around each pillar you write eight concrete actions. Sixty-four small things you can actually do this week — instead of one large thing you can only hope for.
This app is that chart, plus the two habits that make it work: a daily routine
check sheet and a short reflective journal.
THE OPEN WINDOW 64 CHART
• One central goal, eight supporting pillars, eight actions each
• Tap a pillar to open its eight actions and tick them off
• Progress fills in per pillar and across all 64
• See the complete 9x9 grid, pinch to zoom and drag to pan
• Start from a worked example if a blank chart feels daunting
DAILY ROUTINE CHECK SHEET
• Add the habits that feed your goal
• Check them off on a weekly grid
• Streak counts show how long you have kept each one going
REFLECTION JOURNAL
• A short daily entry with a 1-5 rating for the day
• Look back over the week and see what actually changed
YOURS ALONE
• No account and no sign-up
• Everything stays on your device
• Works completely offline
• No ads, no tracking, no analytics
The method came out of Japanese school athletics, where it was used to turn
vague ambition into a plan a teenager could follow. It works the same way for a
career move, a fitness goal, a degree, a business, or a skill you have been
meaning to build for years.
Goal setting works when the goal stops being a wish and starts being a list.
One goal. Eight pillars. Sixty-four actions.
