About Šachovka
Chessboard is a chess learning app that guides you step by step from the first move to a winning endgame.
**Opening**
Choose for white or black and learn 8 main opening systems — Italian Game, Queen's Gambit, London System, King's Indian Attack Formation, Sicilian Defense, Caro-Kann, King's Indian Defense and Slav Defense. You will get an explanation for each move, and the app will show you with an arrow directly on the chessboard where to move.
**Game Flow**
Played positions training specific principles — piece activity, threats, when to attack and when to defend.
**Endgames**
Techniques to extend your advantage to victory — rook-cutting off the king, pawn blockade and other basics that decide the game.
**Smart help**
The app routinely warns you about hanging pieces, threats to move forward, and which piece you are neglecting the most — just like an experienced coach would advise.
**Custom opponent**
You set the opponent's difficulty from 1 to 10 — the app never stops at one learned line, after it ends it continues to play with you according to the selected strength.
**Progress and motivation**
The app remembers what you already know, calculates your streak and XP for completed lessons — learn a little more every day.
The chess game is free, without ads and without tracking.
