Kinestry: Family Tree

Every family is a story. Kinestry is an offline family tree app that helps you preserve your family history, privately, beautifully, and forever.

Whether you're building your first family tree, researching your ancestry, or organizing years of genealogy research, Kinestry keeps everything on your own device. No accounts. No cloud. Just your family's story, exactly where it belongs.

Build a living family tree on a warm, paper-like canvas designed to feel like a family heirloom, not a database. Add parents, partners, children, photos, notes, and important life events in seconds, then watch generations connect before your eyes.

YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE

• No account required.
• No cloud.
• No subscriptions.
• Everything is stored locally on your device.
• No ads, no analytics, no trackers. We couldn't read your family tree even if we wanted to.

MADE FOR REAL FAMILIES

• Build family trees of any size, from a few relatives to hundreds of people.
• Keep several separate family trees on one device and switch between them.
• Record birth, marriage and death dates with flexible precision.
• Mark a marriage as divorced or separated, with an optional date. Children and every other connection stay exactly as they are.
• Fix a wrong link without deleting anyone. Hold a row to disconnect it, and Undo puts the link back.
• Remove a person alone, or with everyone below them. You are told how many people that is first, and Undo restores them all.
• Choose the weight of the connecting lines and the spacing between people. Compact fits more on a printed page.
• Add photos, notes, places, where someone lives now, and personal memories.
• See age and where someone lives right on the card, without opening anyone.
• Never miss a birthday, anniversary or day of remembrance. Coming up gathers them all, with optional reminders that stay on your phone.
• Add birthdays and memorial dates to your calendar.
• Instantly see exactly how any two relatives are connected.
• Search your family tree in seconds.
• Supports names in Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Gujarati, Thai, Cyrillic, and many other languages, on screen and in printed exports.

DESKTOP MODE

Open Kinestry on your laptop over your home Wi-Fi. Edit with a mouse and keyboard, upload photos from your computer, and watch changes appear instantly on your phone. Your phone becomes the server, so your family data never leaves your home network.

SHARE YOUR FAMILY HISTORY

• Export beautiful vector PDF family trees for printing.
• Export high-resolution PNG images for sharing with family.
• Exports keep the card style you chose, so the photo you framed is the photo that prints.
• Export GEDCOM, the universal genealogy format, so your data is always yours.
• Create complete local backups and restore them anytime.
• Easily move your family tree to a new phone.

DESIGNED TO LAST

Warm paper tones, elegant typography, and a clean layout make your family tree feel timeless. Whether you're preserving your grandparents' memories or creating a legacy for future generations, Kinestry is designed to make every story easy to explore, enjoyable to share, and safe to keep for years to come.
