Kilocarry: Luggage Weigher

PACK SMARTER, TRAVEL LIGHTER, SAVE MONEY

Overpacked luggage comes with a hidden cost. Most airlines charge $50–$200+ for overweight baggage, and the only way to know if you're over the limit before you reach the airport is to weigh your bag at home. Kilocarry turns your phone into a packing assistant that estimates your luggage weight in real time as you pack, so you'll never face a surprise overweight fee at check-in.

HOW IT WORKS

Start by creating a profile for each of your bags—your checked suitcase, carry-on, backpack, or personal item. Set the weight limit for each one based on your airline's policy (23 kg for most carriers internationally, 10 kg for carry-ons). Then add items as you pack them: a winter coat, jeans, laptop, toiletries, anything you're bringing. You'll input the item's estimated weight (or use common defaults), and Kilocarry instantly calculates your bag's total.

As items pile up, an interactive weight meter shows your capacity utilization in real time. A visual progress bar fills as you pack—green when you're safe, orange as you approach the limit, red if you exceed it. See exactly how many kilograms (or pounds) you have left before hitting the airline threshold. No guessing, no surprises at the airport.

Beyond the total, you'll get a detailed breakdown of which categories of items weigh the most: Clothing, Electronics, Toiletries, Documents, and Other. Color-coded progress bars show the weight and percentage for each category, so you can spot heavy culprits like that laptop or winter boots and adjust accordingly.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

• Manage multiple bags at once—track your check-in suitcase, carry-on, backpack, and personal item in a single app
• Switch between kilograms and pounds instantly for each bag, perfect for international travel or personal preference
• Overweight alerts with smart unpacking suggestions—the app identifies your heaviest items and tells you exactly how much weight you'd save by removing them
• Mark items as packed with checkboxes and adjust quantities with +/- buttons as you finalize your packing
• See weight breakdown by category—instantly know if you're over budget on electronics or toiletries
• Organize items into five categories (Clothing, Electronics, Toiletries, Documents, Other) with color-coded visual indicators

NO SURPRISES AT THE AIRPORT

When your bag exceeds the weight limit, Kilocarry shows a bright airline-fee alert that explains the stakes: overweight baggage typically costs $50 to $200+ per bag, depending on the carrier. The app then gives you specific, actionable suggestions—"Remove your laptop (2.20 kg) and you'll be under the limit" or "Unpack your shoes (1.50 kg) to save $75 in fees." It prioritizes the heaviest unpacked items first, so you know exactly what to remove to get back in compliance. No math required; the app does the work.

Kilocarry stores all your luggage data and packing lists directly on your phone. There are no cloud accounts, no sign-in pages, no tracking, no ads, and no unnecessary permissions. Your packing history stays yours—not shared with airlines, advertisers, or third-party services. Whether you're on airplane mode or simply offline, Kilocarry works perfectly. You're in complete control of your data.

Pack with confidence. Never pay an overweight fee again.
