المعلقات هي مجموعة من سبع قصائد عربية طويلة. الاسم يعني القصائد المعلقة أو القصائد المعلقة ، والتفسير التقليدي هو أن هذه القصائد كانت معلقة في الكعبة في مكة المكرمة ، بينما اقترح العلماء أيضًا أن التعليق مجازي وكأن القصائد "معلقة" في ذهن القارئ
